I called the surf school on the morning of our trip to Ballina as its only about 15mins drive away and luckily they had 2 places available. We rocked up at the time, got our wetsuits and boards and got some initial tutorial. The surf school were very friendly and chatty giving us some tips as we went along. Then we were let off into the waves. It was great fun and my son really enjoyed the surf good waves. Good value, good fun.

Excellent, I booked 3 kids into their summer camp and I can’t recommend North West Surf school enough. Shane, Martha and team are excellent. In the current climate of Covid, safety was paramount with small groups (8 per class) and nothing was left to chance. We are back again next week!!. If thinking of doing surfing in Enniscrone, Don’t book anyone else.

Lovely sand, very clean, pleasure to be on. Dogs are allowed on beach but found no dog mess there at all.

We have attended The North West Surf school for 3 years and it just gets better and better. Many are repeat clients and have, like us, traveled from abroad expressly to surf with Shane. He offers an excellent service from Surf Summer Camps to board and suit hire for the more experienced surfer — all at very reasonable rates. This year I had 3 teenagers for lessons and they loved every minute and even did double sessions.

We went over with our two kids and Shane and the instructors made us feel very comfortable. Although the kids were 10&12 they made sure we all had a ball. Thanks will definitely be back and highly recommend to our friends.

This place is really great. From meeting the team who were friendly and most encouraging especially towards our 8 yo daughter who was very nervous to our instructor Shane who was very helpful and freindly to everybody making the afternoon very memorable. We were out for two hours but the kids wanted to stay on . Thank you guys for a fantastic experience on the waves. We will definately be back

A gap of eight years since our older children surfed with North West. Our 13 year old son had a fantastic week even on the low wave days. Shane runs a great terrific operation, always welcoming, always safe and always going the extra mile to ensure a great experience. The monster paddle board this year was an inspired addition.

The staff are brilliant & extremely knowledgeable. They make you feel very safe & confident in the sea.

Had a great surf with Shane this weekend (28th March). He took myself and three friends for a two hour lesson with all the gear included. We had maximum time in the sea, with Shane giving really helpful pointers about balance, where to put your feet etc. Shane's main focus though was that we were all having fun even if we weren't at the fully standing stage. Will be back over the summer to try some paddle boarding with him!

The best thing in Enniscrone is the beach. Put kids into surf camp for the week we were there. It was great value and the kids loved it. Instructors are excellent and great with the kids. Shane and Martha are very nice people.
